Biography

Francisco Cornellana is a travel and wildlife photographer originally from Catalonia, Spain, who spent part of his life in the United States and is now based in Andorra, with over a decade of work spanning six continents and some of the planet's most extraordinary landscapes.

His images have taken him from the glaciated fjords of Alaska and the volcanic shores of Hawaii to the Arctic archipelago of Lofoten, the savannahs of Kenya and the granite towers of Patagonia. Whether tracking predators on the Masai Mara, shooting long exposures on a Norwegian coastline at 2 a.m., or documenting the culture and architecture of Morocco's ancient medinas, Francisco brings the same methodical eye and technical precision to every subject.

His specialty disciplines — aerial photography with DJI systems, macro photography, and long-exposure slow-motion work — complement a broader body of travel and landscape work that spans every major photographic environment: desert, arctic, jungle, ocean, mountain and urban.

Francisco works with the Sony Alpha system, paired with a full range of Sony G Master lenses. His work has been exhibited privately and is available for editorial, commercial and personal licensing.

He is currently a member of AFVAN — Associació Fotogràfica Valls del Nord in Andorra, the Agrupació Fotogràfica de Catalunya and the Agrupació Fotogràfica de Capellades.
